Watch Sourcing Policy & Terms

1. Scope of Sourcing

Mainspring.dxb offers a personalized watch sourcing service for vintage and pre-owned luxury watches.

  • We can source any watch brand, model, or reference, subject to market availability.

  • The service covers vintage, neo-vintage, and modern pre-owned watches.

  • Sourcing is based on our professional dealer network, private collectors, international partners, and trusted suppliers.

2. Client Request Requirements

To initiate a sourcing request, the client must provide clear and specific information, including at least one of the following:

  • Exact reference number

  • Clear photos of the desired watch

  • Detailed description (brand, model, size, dial, bracelet/strap, metal, year range, etc.)

Important:
The more specific the request, the higher the probability of:

  • Faster sourcing

  • Better pricing

  • More accurate matching

Specificity is considered an indication of serious intent and allows us to work more efficiently on the client’s behalf.

3. Market Pricing & Deposit

Once the target watch is confirmed:

  • Mainspring.dxb will provide a realistic market price range based on:

    • Current global market data

    • Dealer pricing

    • Condition, set (box/papers), and rarity

To activate sourcing, the client must pay a deposit equal to 25% of the average market value.

4. Deposit Terms (Non-Refundable, Redeemable)

The sourcing deposit:

  • Is credited to the client’s account with Mainspring.dxb

  • Is non-refundable

  • Is fully redeemable toward:

    • The sourced watch

    • Any other watch purchased from Mainspring.dxb in the future

If the client changes their mind or cancels the sourcing request:

  • The deposit remains as store credit

  • It can be used for any future purchase from Mainspring.dxb

  • No cash refunds will be issued

This policy protects sourcing costs, time investment, and professional network engagement.

5. Sourcing Timeline & Options

Upon receipt of the deposit:

  • Depending on rarity and market conditions, within 10 calendar days, Mainspring.dxb will present 1–3 suitable options

  • If the client does not approve any of the presented options:

    • Within the next 10 calendar days, another 1–3 options will be provided

If the client declines both rounds of presented options:

  • Any further sourcing rounds will require an additional 25% deposit of the average market value

  • This additional deposit follows the same non-refundable but redeemable terms

This ensures continued commitment and fair allocation of sourcing resources.

6. Viewing Process

Once the client selects a preferred option:

  • Mainspring.dxb will arrange to bring that specific watch for viewing

  • Viewings are conducted on a one-watch-per-viewing basis

  • Additional viewings of different options may be arranged based on availability and agreement

This ensures focused inspection and professional handling of each piece.

7. Authentication, Certification & Liability

Upon client approval of a selected watch, Mainspring.dxb will:

  • Perform full authenticity checks, including:

    • Case inspection

    • Dial, hands, crown, and components

    • Movement inspection

    • Serial/reference verification (where applicable)

Mainspring.dxb will then:

  • Issue an official stamped and signed Certificate of Authenticity

  • Accept full liability for the authenticity of the watch as certified

8. Warranty

All sourced watches include:

  • 3-month movement warranty under Mainspring.dxb warranty terms and conditions

This covers mechanical movement function, excluding external damage, water damage, misuse, or wear-and-tear items.

9. Invoicing & VAT

Upon final agreement and purchase:

  • The client will receive an official Mainspring.dxb invoice

  • Invoice will be inclusive of UAE VAT, in compliance with local regulations
